昔者，余有游历之志，欲登恒山以观其奇。恒山者，五岳之一也，以其雄伟壮丽而闻名于世。今得偿夙愿，遂作此记。
是日，晨光熹微，与友人结伴同行。行至山脚，但见林木葱郁，鸟鸣婉转。拾级而上，石径蜿蜒，时有清泉潺潺，流响于耳畔。越数里，峰回路转，忽现一亭，名曰“望仙”。凭栏远眺，云海茫茫，如梦似幻。友人笑曰：“此景可比仙境矣。”
复前行，渐入深山，古木参天，遮天蔽日。偶闻松涛阵阵，风过处，似有千军万马之声。又行数步，至一处平坦之地，有一巨石，高丈余，上刻“悬空寺”三字。遥望彼端，果见寺宇悬于峭壁之间，宛如空中楼阁。友人叹曰：“此乃人力之奇迹也！”
再攀数百阶，终达山顶。极目四望，群山连绵，烟岚缥缈。心中豁然开朗，顿觉天地之大，人生之渺小。坐于石上，与友共饮，畅谈古今。日暮西沉，霞光满天，不忍离去。
归途之中，思绪万千。恒山之行，不仅览胜景，更悟人生哲理。山川之美，常在于险峻；人之成长，亦需历经磨难。此行虽尽，然心向往之。

Once upon a time, I had the desire to travel and wanted to climb Mount Heng to see its wonders. Mount Heng is one of the Five Great Mountains and is famous for its grandeur and beauty. Now that my wish has been fulfilled, I write this record.
On that day, at dawn, I set off with friends. Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, we saw lush forests and heard birds singing melodiously. As we climbed the stone steps, the path wound through the mountainside, and there was a clear spring flowing nearby. After traveling several miles, the road twisted and turned, and suddenly a pavilion appeared before us, named “Wangxian”. Leaning on the railing and looking far away, the sea of clouds stretched endlessly, dreamlike and illusory. My friend laughed and said, "This scenery is like that of a fairyland!"
Continuing forward, we entered deeper into the mountains, where ancient trees towered over us, blocking out the sky. Occasionally, the sound of pine waves echoed, and the wind brought the illusion of a vast army. A few more steps later, we arrived at a flat place where there was a huge rock, more than three meters high, inscribed with the words "Xuankong Temple". Looking toward the other side, we indeed saw the temple suspended on the cliff, resembling an aerial building. My friend exclaimed, "This is truly a miracle of human effort!"
After climbing hundreds of steps, we finally reached the summit. Gazing far and wide, the continuous mountains stretched out, with misty smoke floating around. My heart felt suddenly open, realizing how vast the universe is and how insignificant life can be. Sitting on a rock, I shared drinks with friends and discussed past and present events. As the sun set in the west, the sky was filled with rosy light, making it hard to leave.
On the way back, I reflected deeply. The trip to Mount Heng not only allowed me to admire the scenery but also helped me understand life's philosophy. The beauty of nature often lies in its ruggedness; similarly, personal growth requires overcoming difficulties. Although this journey has ended, my heart remains yearning for more.
